Christopher P. Meyer, a graduate of Union College and Hofstra Law School, has been with the firm since 1995.
Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1986, he is qualified to practice in the New York Eastern and Northern Districts of the U.S. Federal Court as well.
Chris started his legal career with the Nassau County Attorney’s Office in Long Island as a trial attorney in its Litigation Bureau. There he defended and litigated personal injury cases brought against the County and handled a caseload of over 200 claims.
In 1988 he moved on to the firm of MacDonald and O’Connor as a defense attorney representing General Accident Insurance Company in venues throughout downstate New York. During that time he also served as Prosecutor for the Village of South Floral Park and was later elected its Village Justice. In 1991 Chris moved to the Capital District with his family to be part of a newly formed defense counsel office for General Accident and was thereafter promoted to Senior Trial Attorney. With that office he litigated cases across upstate New York involving construction accidents, defective products, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, fire damage and other types of injury suits.
In 1995 Chris began working with Ed representing injured clients in all aspects of their personal injury claims. While located in Albany, he has represented clients from Plattsburgh to Rochester. His knowledge in defending and pursuing personal injury cases has given him unique insight as to how to deal with insurance companies and their defense counsel most effectively. Coupled with his extensive trial experience, Chris will know the ideal course of action in order to maximize a client’s recovery in any type of personal injury case, big or small.
